Happy New Year to everyone. The presents have all been unwrapped and some of you have even taken down your holiday decor. (Don't look at me! I'm not even starting until tomorrow.) A fresh start is upon us.

What will you do with it? I'm not talking about resolutions, you know, those things we say we'll do and forget in a few months time. I mean what will you really do with the time you've been given in 2018.

I've decided to make an effort to love more. Be more understanding of my fellow man. Be kinder, smile more. I want this fresh new start to mean something.

Sure I need to lose some weight, get those blood sugar levels lower. And I need to procrastinate less, when the important things need to be done. Let's not forget that I need to be more organized, as well.

But the first things I mentioned are so much more important. There are too many people in the world hurting physically, financially and mentally. If my deposition can help to make someone's day better, then that's a goal, resolution if you wish, that I can get on board with.

I hope your holidays were wonderful and filled with love, family and friends. However, if you are one of the millions, who dread the holidays and it wasn't the best days you've had, my heart goes out to you even more.

Won't you join me and share a smile or a kind word to someone when the idea crosses your mind. Have a great 2018!

CJ
