Tiffinie
Helmer and her Romance on the Edge Series have been thrilling us for some time
now. Each book in the series is more intense with characters that not only
become real to the reader; they are human with flaws just like us. Death Cache
steps it up a notch.
Left
at a remote site near the Arctic Circle six people are in a game for their
lives. Tern Maiski, her best friend and four ex lovers are all left in the
Alaskan wilderness thinking they are there to play a game of geo-cache finding.
The winner will be proclaimed the best in the state. However, someone either within
the group or on the outside looking in has other plans. What follows is an
intense game to save their lives and time is running out. They must play the
game or die. As their numbers drop, who you can trust becomes the biggest issue
of all.
The
one man Tern truly loved, Gage Fallon is there but he clearly isn’t the man she
thought he was. He has many secrets and emotional issues of his own. The sexual
tension between the two of them is palpable but is it enough? That isn’t what
made this story unforgettable for me.
What
made this story unforgettable for me was the mystery. Who arranged for this
game of death? Why? How could someone kill so easily without any mercy?
This
story will grip you and it won’t let you go until you know “who did it” and it
will keep you guessing to the very end.
Bravo
